Operations

We use electricity sourced from 100% renewable energy in our offices. Our headquarters holds the LEED Gold Green Office certification thanks to its energy and water efficiency, as well as material and waste management practices. Through hybrid company cars and a hybrid working model, we reduce carbon emissions from our operations. We keep paper and plastic consumption to a minimum and monitor annual usage levels. Single-use plastics have been eliminated from our offices. We ensure that waste is recycled or recovered to the maximum extent possible.

The global climate crisis, rapidly depleting natural resources, and increasing urbanization are making sustainable solutions in the building sector a necessity. Current research shows that buildings account for approximately 32% of global energy consumption and 34% of global CO₂ emissions. As people spend nearly 90% of their time indoors, buildings must become more efficient, consume fewer resources, and provide healthier environments. For this reason, environmentally friendly green buildings with a low carbon footprint are no longer a preference but an essential requirement for a sustainable future.

Environmentally Friendly Building Certification – LEED

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized green building certification system that has been used since 1998 to evaluate environmental performance throughout a project’s lifecycle, from design and construction to operations and occupant well-being.

Our Sustainability Approach and LEED Alignment

Our project has been developed in line with sustainable design principles that reduce environmental impacts, support occupant well-being, and improve resource efficiency. LEED criteria have been considered throughout all design and implementation processes, and solutions aligned with these criteria have been systematically integrated into the project.

Integrated Design Approach

  • We brought together our architecture, engineering, and sustainability teams from the very beginning to work collaboratively throughout the project.
  • Sustainability objectives were defined at an early stage, and all design decisions were aligned with these objectives throughout the process.

Sustainable Location and Transportation

  • The project was located in an area with strong access to public transportation, helping to reduce dependence on private vehicle use.
  • In this way, we contributed to reducing transportation-related carbon emissions.

Water Efficiency

  • By integrating high-efficiency fixtures and water management solutions, we reduced annual water consumption by 45%.
  • This approach helped us conserve natural resources while ensuring sustainable water management throughout the operational phase.

Energy and Atmosphere

  • All energy-consuming systems within the building underwent internationally recognized commissioning and performance verification processes to ensure operation in line with design performance targets.
  • We optimized energy consumption and reduced the building’s carbon footprint through the use of high-efficiency equipment compliant with the ASHRAE 90.1 standard.

Responsible Material Use and Waste Management

  • During the construction phase, we prioritized materials with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) whenever feasible.
  • We established dedicated recycling stations within office areas, enabling waste segregation at source and supporting recycling processes.

Healthy and Comfortable Indoor Spaces

  • Construction materials were protected from external contaminants during the construction process to safeguard indoor air quality.
  • Fresh air ventilation rates were designed in accordance with the ASHRAE 62.1 standard, ensuring occupants have access to a healthy indoor environment.
  • We implemented lighting solutions that enhance occupant comfort while reducing energy consumption.

Thanks to the sustainability strategies implemented as part of this project, we have developed a high-performance workspace that promotes energy and water efficiency, supports occupant health and comfort, and minimizes environmental impacts through responsible material selection and effective waste management.

Through our design and implementation approach aligned with the LEED v4 Interior Design and Construction: Commercial Interiors (LEED v4 ID+C: CI) certification requirements, we have created a sustainable workplace that reduces operating costs, optimizes resource use, and delivers long-term value for both its occupants and the environment.
