Global Compact

The first pension company which signed the Global Compact (United Nations Global Compact) which constitutes the most important document of the Corporate Social Responsibility worldwide was AgeSA (January 2006). The Global Compact which was signed by Aviva plc. and Sabancı Holding draws up the undertakings given to the society by the companies on the basis of 10 fundamental principles.

Human Rights

Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the proclaimed human rights.

Principle 2: Businesses should not constitute the accomplices of the human right violations.

Labour Standards

Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of unionization and the right to collective bargaining of the employees.

Principle 4: Forced and compulsory labour should be eliminated.

Principle 5: All kinds of child labour should be abolished.

Principle 6: Discrimination in respect of employment and occupation should be eliminated.

Environment

Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges.

Principle 8: Businesses should support all kinds of activities and establishments which promote greater environmental responsibility.

Principle 9: Businesses should encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-Corruption

Principle 10: Businesses should work against all kinds of corruption including bribery and extortion.

AgeSA undertook to Turkey and the world that it will comply with these principles.
